Illustration from Beauty and the Beast
Edmund Du Lac worked during the Victorian period illustrating
children's fairy tales. He illustrated the tales of Han's Christian Andersen,
the Arabian Nights, Shakespeare's Tempest, the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam,
the Tales of Edgar Allan Poe, and the Sleeping Beauty. The illustrations
for Hans Christian Andersen's tales were done in watercolor. I have included
illstrations taken from many of the above sources on these pages:
